Fun is the key to these programs designed to get you to your goal - with some hard work in the mix! All ClubRun coaches have USATF Coaching Certification with a minimum of 5 years running/coaching experience. Training groups are structured to ensure that all pace groups are recognized. ClubRun Training Classes feature: • Two structured workouts/week All abilities are welcome • new runner or a seasoned veteran • 13 min/mile pace or 6 min/mile pace For more information about any class you may contact Barb directly. To register for a class print the mail in registration form and mail it in to the address on the form. You may also register in person on the first night of class. Registration will be available 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start of the class. |
Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon Training Team Program No need to fret that you have not yet signed up for the Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon, even though the standard race registration is now closed. ClubRun is a member of the Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon Training Team Network. ClubRun members participating in the ClubRun MTCM Training Class are eligible to receive guaranteed entries to the Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon. Here is how it works: 1. You must be a member of ClubRun. Fees/Process: 1. ClubRun membership: $25 You can print and mail your ClubRun membership/class registration form from this page. The MTCM Training Class begins on June 25, 2008. You will receive information on how to register for the MTCM at this class session. The number of entries available to ClubRun is limited and registrations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. If you are new to running this class is for you. Designed for those who are able to run/walk at least a mile, the runs will progress up to 3 miles. All ages and abilities welcome. The goal is to get you comfortable running, build confidence, and introduce you to all aspects of this heart healthy activity. Class meets twice a week with a coach for group workouts. Written workout calendars covering each day of the session are provided. Participation in the "Goal Race" is recommended but not required. Typical training pace is 9-12 minutes/mile.
Designed for runners interested in improving their strength and speed over distances of 5K to the half marathon. You don't have to compete with others to participate in this class - all you need is a desire to get stronger and/or faster at your favorite distance. Participants should be able to run 3 miles comfortably. Class meets two times per week with a coach for group workouts. Written workout calendars covering each day of the session are provided.
ClubRun is proud to be the Official TC 5K Training Program for the Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon. This class is designed for runners of all abilities planning to participate in the TC 5K run. The TC 5K is part of the Saturday Events taking place on Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon weekend on Oct. 4. Class begins August 7. We will run from Marathon Sports on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6 p.m. Marathon Sports is at 50th & Penn in Minneapolis, conveniently located near Lake Harriet for great running. All class participants receive a specially designed technical training shirt.
Marathon training designed for runners of all abilities - from your first marathon to your 50th. Each class is divided into pace groups so you have some one to run with. Training for a marathon is more fun in a group. Weekly workouts Monday and Wednesday will make you stronger as you build your long runs on Saturday. Saturday long runs are supported with water, PowerAde, and goodies. Written workout calendars covering each day of the session are provided. Saturday breakfasts are a tradition for this class, as well as lots of fun activities during the session. Goal Races are suggestions - Let us know what race you are training for! |
