Kenwood Kids Running Camps

Camp 1: Kenwood Kids' Running Camp - Introduction to Running
(Ages 7-12)

April 21 - April 25 4:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

This five day running camp is designed to introduce kids to running basics. It's a great primer for all youth sporting activities that involve running - from basketball to baseball to soccer to running as a sport. Activities each day include warm-up drills, short runs, stretching exercises, and a running game. Each session concludes with a speaker presentation. Topics will address running as a sport, the role of running in other team sports, and benefits of an active life. Camp is led by USA Track & Field Certified Coaches.

Fee: $15

Camp 2: Kenwood Kids' Running Camp - Getting Ready to Run/Introduction to Track Season
(Ages 9 - 16)

May 12 - May 16 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

This five day running camp introduces kids to events included in track and teaches basic skills for participation. Activities each day include warm-up drills, runs from 100 meters to one mile, stretching/strengthening exercises, and speaker presentations. Speaker topics include introduction to the sport of track, running workout basics, and working with fitness balls. Camp is led by USA Track & Field Certified Coaches.
